It doesn’t matter whether you’re a professional working in the bustle of a café or juice bar, or a busy parent creating fresh, healthy meals at home. Either way, you don’t have time to mess around: you need a blender that keeps pace with your hectic lifestyle.

The Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender is powerful enough to meet the demands of commercial use, while being simple and affordable enough for the average family. You’ll find it in the kitchens of several franchises and organisations, as well as those of people just like you. And appearances in media that include Channel 7, Channel 9, USA Herald, Indy Posted and Segment have made Optimum® one of Australia’s most recognised brands.

Crafted from the highest quality materials, the Optimum Vortex Blender is designed to significantly outperform and outlast all of its competitors. In fact, we’re so confident in its durability that we offer an optional, unrivalled 10-year warranty. Add that to our no-questions-asked, one-month money back guarantee, and it’s easy to see why the this product is a favourite in over 20 countries, including here in Australia.

Discover more about specific components of the Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender below.

Behind the Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender’s power is its extraordinary, commercial grade 3.5 Horsepower motor. This gives the blades a ground-breaking speed that grinds grains and crushes ice just as quickly and easily as it blends soft fruit.

Designed to meet the heavy-duty requirements of juice bars and cafes, the motor in your Optimum Vortex Blender will comfortably deal with tough ingredients that often burn domestic blenders out. However, its benefits are about more than mere power.

Recent tests have shown that the Optimum Vortex Blender motor is far quieter than its competitors. While it usually operates at just 80–85 decibels, you can reduce the noise level even further to only 40 decibels with the optional sound cover. This officially makes the Optimum Vortex Blender the industry’s quietest blender for your family or workplace!

Plus, because the motor is designed to cool more effectively, you get a lifespan measured in decades, rather than months. The result: fresh, nutritious soups, sauces, smoothies, ice-cream, and even nut butters and freshly ground coffee – for years to come.

Again, the blade assembly in your Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender combines the highest quality materials with ingenious design elements that allow the end machine to outperform its competition.

Forged from a premium-quality form of stainless steel, the custom-alloy blades in your Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender can cut through the hardiest of ingredients. And while most domestic blenders offer two (or occasionally four) blades, your Optimum Vortex Blender contains six: enough to blend thick foods like nut butters into a smooth, silky consistency.

Two of the blades are also precisely angled to prevent dense foods from jamming and creating a vacuum in the blending jug. They’re longer too than the original the Optimum 9200 Vortex Blender, which means they can handle more difficult domestic functions, e.g. chipping or grinding thick foods. And the multi-faceted edge on each blade allows you to effortlessly combine wet and dry ingredients in a single blending mix – saving you time and energy.

Your Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender features an overload protection fault switch, which ensures that the machine is protected against overload damage. In the unlikely event that the machine overheats, this feature allows you to keep blending without having to switch it off until the motor cool downs.

This goes well beyond the overheat protection found in most commercial grade blenders; and is a key reason behind the product’s optional 10-year Warranty.

The Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender’s closest competitor is probably the Vitamix TNC 5200. For a factual comparison of the specs of each machine, please see the table at the top of this page. However, if you’re pressed for time, you might find the following high-level comparison useful.

Both the Vitamix TNC 5200 and the Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender are premium quality blenders with excellent reputations in the industry. Both can make a wide range of fresh, delicious foods from hot soups to green smoothies to ice-cream to nut butters.

The advantages of the Optimum Vortex Blender, however, lie in its:

Simpler functionality: The Optimum Vortex Blender offers several one-touch buttons for pre-programmed speed and power functions.

Faster blending: The Optimum Vortex Blender operates at a faster motor speed, blending more quickly and reducing food oxidation.

Multipurpose jug: The Optimum Vortex Blender allows you to combine wet and dry ingredients together – no need for separate jugs.

Warranty period: Optional 10 year warranty available.

One-month, no-questions-asked, money-back guarantee: If you’re not happy with your Optimum Vortex Blender for any reason, simply send it back to us within 30 days of purchase. We’ll even pay the cost of return postage!

In the end, whether you decide on a Vitamix or a Optimum Vortex Blender, you’ll have a high-quality appliance that should give you many years of use. Ultimately of course, it’s your decision, but if you’d like any further information or advice, please call us on 1300 309 900 or contact us online.

Although it has recently become popular as a domestic blender, the Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender was originally designed for heavy duty commercial use. Juice bars and cafes around the country, including franchises such as Wendy’s and Gloria Jeans, testify to its effectiveness in these settings.

With its three automatic programme buttons, the Optimum Vortex Blender will help you mix almost any drink to the optimal consistency at the touch of a button. Each programme combines exactly the right speed and timing to create smooth, perfectly blended drinks with no icy chunks.

You can also request a stackable, super-sized 1.5L jug, which is specifically designed with juice and smoothie bars in mind. And of course, like all our Optimum blender jugs, they’re BPA-free, and a breeze to clean out afterwards!

Optimum is an Australian-owned brand that manufactures premium quality blenders and other appliances for the world market. From start to finish, the products are crafted to comply with strict quality control measures; and every Optimum Vortex Blender is extensively tested before being sent to us at Froothie for sale to customers.

Optimum also teams up with third-party parts manufacturers who each have decades-long reputations for quality; and who supply some of the world’s most respected appliance brands. All manufacturers use state-of-the-art equipment, materials and design to create the premium quality motors, blade assemblies and other components within Optimum® appliances.

While cheaper copycat blenders exist, they don’t meet the same quality standards as the Optimum® range. That means they’re simply not designed for the heavy duty use an Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender can comfortably deal with.

Of course, your relationship with us doesn’t end when you buy your Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender. It might be simple to operate, but your Optimum Vortex Blender is a sophisticated piece of machinery. That means you’ll want ongoing support and advice to help you make the most of it. That’s why we make sure our Froothie support team are only ever a phone call or email away.

Plus, as we mentioned above, as a Froothie customer, you benefit from our unique one-month trial period guarantee. If you’re not happy with your Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender, just let us know within 30 days of receiving it. We’ll give you a full, unconditional, no-questions-asked refund; and organise and pay to ship it back to Optimum® for you.

We’re even in the process of launching our very own online health store, offering the freshest, healthiest ingredients to use in your Optimum Vortex Blender. Whether you want nutritious chia seeds for your smoothie, organic olives for a tapenade, or sinfully delicious raw chocolate for a dessert, you’ll find it there.

As you can see from the information above, the Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender is a true one-of-a kind appliance. That’s why we at Froothie are so proud to have sole distribution rights for it throughout Australia, New Zealand, Europe and Singapore.

Durable and reliable in a commercial café or juice bar, yet simple enough for your own home kitchen, the Vortex is the ultimate in affordable, premium quality blenders. From the first time you use it to create the perfect smoothie, sauce, soup, ice-cream, nut butter or fresh-ground coffee, you’ll wonder how you ever did without it.

When you invest in an Optimum 9200A (2nd Gen) Vortex Blender, you’re getting more than just a blender. You’re getting peace of mind and confidence in its durability, versatility and quality, both now, and in decades to come.

Optimum 9200A - 2nd Generation Blender Review

Om Nom Ally

Let me start this review by saying the Optimum 9200 - 2nd Generation is the best blender I have ever owned… and I’ve been through a few of them.

The most memorable blender-blunder was a Breville model I broke with a errant medjool date pit. There was a horrid ‘crunch’ and then ‘pop’ sound and from that point on I had to hold the blender on the base at the right angle or it wouldn’t blend. That was fun. I also had a magic bullet-style blender that was too small, with useless blade systems and a motor that always overloaded right in the middle of making a green smoothie.

The Raw Food Mum

As many of you know by my pictures on Instagram and on The Raw Food Mum Facebook page we use a blender daily and sometimes 6+ times a day to make smoothies, raw ice cream, nut milk, raw pates, raw soups the list goes on..

On my search for an Australian Owned company that supply quality and affordable blenders I discovered the Optimum Blenders. So I contacted Optimum and asked if I could try one, having never used one before as we had used our trust Vitamix for the last four years.

I actually think the Optimum 9200A Next Gen is the best blender I have ever used. It makes light work of everything, it's super quick and super easy to use. I thought the Optimum 9400 was good, but this takes it to another level! I recommend Froothie to all my clients, over all the other high-speed blenders on the marketplace. See full review

I have had this blender for a few weeks now and I am absolutely loving it. I have spent a lot of money over the past few years trying to find a blender that was multi-functional and was able to do everything that I needed in order to be creative in the kitchen. I have already successfully made delicious banana ice creams, nut milks and soups with this blender and I can honestly say when I first switched it on I was blown away by its power! It made me jump initially! It really can shred up anything and make it into a fine liquid.…See full review

It has automatic blending options, which means you don’t have to hover over your morning smoothie when there are so many other things to be done. It can be set to low, medium or high speed and includes a pulse function……….. I’ve put it through its paces a few times and conducted a number of tests, all of which it passed with flying colours. When I made a raw chocolate and goji berry smoothie, it was impossible to detect even a tiny bit of goji berry. Our kale blended to a fine green juice and a couple of other ingredients I wasn’t sure about had similarly successful results. I will be posting some of the things I’ve made in due course…See full review

Anyway, I am pleased to announce that with the Optimum 9200 , pesto-related catastrophes and grainy-tasting smoothies are a thing of the past! …….So far in my optimum 9200 I have made Smoothies (my favourite of which is pineapple & passionfruit, which I will share below!), Humus, Hot soup (from raw ingredients), plus, it can also make other dips and spreads (including nut-butters), desserts and dressings. And it can grind grains to make flour. But this blender can do both dry and wet ingredients in the same container, rather than you having to faff about with separate ones….See full review

When I'm not experimenting in the kitchen I enjoy practising yoga and pilates, upcycling vintage furniture and posting pictures of my breakfast on my Instagram account (@naturallymeghan)!

The Optimum 9200A Next Gen is a high-speed blender which creates delicious fruit smoothies with ease, but it doesn't stop there; I've made green smoothies and banana ice cream in it, and this blender has managed it all perfectly. My previous blender didn't cope with frozen ingredients and tougher greens very well, so I'd usually end up with annoying lumps of frozen fruit or unpleasant bits of kale in my smoothies; the Optimum 9200A, however, has no difficulty with those things at all so I end up with ultra smooth drinks every time. That's not all it does though - it also has the ability to grind nuts and grains for flour, crush ice and make nut butters, hot soups, spreads and dips! Before discovering this blender I'd been toying with the idea of buying a Vitamix for a few months (well, a year actually!) but the Optimum 9200 actually rivals the Vitamix Pro 500 in terms of performance…See full review

One of the reasons I love my blender so much is because it’s so simple to clean. I have very little energy, and while I do think making sure I eat well is important, if I don’t have the energy to make something and then clean up, I’m just not going to do it. Here, all I need to do is throw my ingredients into the large 2l jug, blend, pour and enjoy. To clean, all I do is fill halfway with warm water, add a squirt of Ecover washing up liquid and blend on high for about a minute and then rinse. I’d highly recommend the Froothie Optimum 9200A blender for anyone who’s looking to get some serious blending action going on in the kitchen – it’s such a versatile piece of equipment and performs so many functions, that it is definitely invaluable to me…See full review

I switched to using a high performance blender about five years ago, and while it can seem expensive to lay out so much dosh I believe it’s a worthwhile investment if you use a blender frequently, if you want to make day to day kitchen tasks easier (the smoothest hummus you’ll ever eat, easy veggie chopping, fast smoothies), and if you’re keen on making better tasting variations of products you would otherwise buy (nut butters and non dairy milks are a cinch). The bar was high for me since it’s not my first time owning a high performance blender, but my first impressions of the Optimum 9200A are great. It does everything my other blender does and it’s so quiet. Gone are the days of questioning if it’s appropriate to make a smoothie or soup at 2am (I live in a block of flats) when I wake up starving and don’t want to wait until real people hours to eat….See full review

……So, what is a Froothie? Well, it’s a pretty neat and awesome bit of kit! I was sent a Froothie OPTIMUM 9200A NEXT GENERATION blender (RRP: $791), although if you buy one now, you can save a WHOPPING $312 and secure one of these amazing machines for only $479! The list of what you can do and make in one of these blenders is astounding…….. So far, I have made a curd and this sauce in my Froothie, and both have turned out well – with the curd being an absolute winner, as the machine cooks the eggs as it blends – that recipe will be on Lavender and Lovage in a few days. But back to today’s recipe – as you can see from the photo collage above, I simply chucked all the ingredients in the large 2 litre Froothie jug, blended the sauce for UNDER a minute and voilà, I was rewarded with a spicy, creamy and delicious enchilada sauce for all my Mexican cooking…See full review

My new Froothie 9200 is the sixth blender I have owned in less than 2 years. I’m not kidding……...This thing is a game changer. I use it so much each day and even plan my meals around what I can use the blender for! It is not just a smoothie machine – this incredibly durable and powerful machine can do so much. I use it to chop vegetables, make nut milks and creams, make date paste, grind flours, mix cake batter, even to knead bread dough and of course the most deliciously creamy smoothies in seconds. And no gradual placing ingredients, just dump it all in, press one of the really simple to use pre-programmed speed buttons (20, 35 & 45 seconds) or speed settings (high, medium, low & pulse) and voila, creamy smoothie ready to pour whilst you do other things. It’s truly a pleasure. There is no need to pre-soak nuts or seeds for blending and the specially designed blade means everything will be blended and nut butters can be whipped up in the same jar without need for a special attachment. The speed creates so much friction heat that you can actually cook ingredients in it without a special heating element! How cool is that? Simply add fresh ingredients like ripe tomatoes and seasonings and blend for a few minutes to have hot tomato soup ready! And as a bonus, it even cleans itself! Simply add hot water and a drop of dish soap and use on the 20 second function then rinse!See full review.
