Better Quality Juice

The slow speed of the Optimum slow juicers leads to better quality, tastier and larger amount of juice, and less cleaning! Below is a video demonstrating this with the Optimum 400 juicer (which, as with all slow juicers, does not have a whole mouth like the Optimum 600 and therefore requires cutting fruits and vegetables)

No NEED FOR CUTTING YOUR FRUITS & VEGIES!

This is the highlight of the Optimum 600 Whole Slow Juicer: It has a Big Mouth! We all hate food preparation, and finally a slow juicer is available which can juice whole apples, oranges and more without having to chop into pieces. A revolutionary improvement on the concept of slow juicing

Natural Juice Junkie

Optimum 400 Juicer Review

Since I started juicing in early 2010 I’ve tried many different juicers. These have included entry level centrifugal juicers through to cold press, masticating juicers costing over £1000. Most recently I have been evaluating the Optimum 400 Cold Press Juicer.

I am often asked questions like “which juicer should I buy?” or “what is the best juicer?” and to be honest I am not sure there is a one size fits all answer for these questions. The best juicer is the one you will use. That said, there are some features I suggest looking for when buying a juicer.

Features I Look For When Evaluating a Juicer

Key things I look for when deciding on how well a juicer works for me include:

  • What is the quality of the juice?
  • How big / small is the juicer?
  • How easy is the juicer to use?
  • How long does the juicer take to clean?
  • Is it value for money?

Tinned Tomatoes

Looks like a space age machine, doesn't it?

It kind of is!

The OPTIMUM 400 is a slow juicer from Froothie. It's not like any other juicer I've tried before. I've owned and given up on two juicers over the years. They were both huge, ugly and hard to clean.

The Optimum 400, is space-age and sleek. It looks great on the kitchen counter (I'm leaving mine out on display) and cleaning it is a doddle. As soon as you have finished juicing your fruit and veg just rinse it under the tap and it's clean in a flash. There is a little long handled toothbrush-style brush to catch any little fibres that don't wash away, but if you rinse as soon as you finish juicing that won't be a problem.

The Raw Food Mum

I am a massive fan of the Optimum Blenders – they are a affordable high powered blender that IMG_8405will easily get you on your way to making lots of yummy raw smoothies and meals! Sooo when the new Optimum 400 was released I was excited to see what this baby was capable of doing seeing it’s sister high blender simply rocks!

So here’s the low down! I have been using the Optimum 400 for nearly a month a now! I have put it through all the greens you can think off and the common veggies that we juice daily!

For those that don’t even know what a cold press juicer is! A cold press juicer is a masticating juicer that does not heat up the enzymes which means that the juice retains more vitamins, minerals and enzymes intact in comparison to high speed juicers.

Optimum 400 Juicer Review

T3 Magazine

Cold press juicers like this tall-standing model run more slowly than their centrifugal counterparts and, in so doing, extract more juice and quite a few more nutrients and enzymes. The Optimum 400 uses a slow masticating technique to extract every last drop of juice, leaving much drier pulp in the process. Sure it comes with a lot of parts to assemble – which all need cleaning – but the proof is in the results and, in this instance, the Optimum shone through with a smooth, deliciously sweet apple and carrot juice that went down a treat. The Optimum 400 comes with three mesh screens – fine for hard veg like lemongrass and beans, coarse for soft fruit and blank for nuts and coffee – and a reassuringly lengthy ten year warranty. Keen price, great juicer.
